OOC and IC:
~OOC (Out Of Character) is dialog and/or action that is seperate from the actual RP rather than being part of the RP. OOC is commonly shown through the use of parenthysis. For example: ((I have to go AFK for a bit, brb.))
~IC (In Character/In Chat) is dialog and/or action that is done as part of RP from one character to another characrer/place/thing.
The Use of Grammer when IC:
When RolePlaying, it is a good idea to use propper grammer, spelling, and punctuation and try to avoid using modern slang. Even the simple things like capitalizing your I can make a difference. Doing this will help other players take you more seriously and mutually improve the RP for all parties involved.
Also, it is a good idea to try avoiding using images such as smilies as part of your IC.
